Instructions on How to Set Actuals in the CGS System

  1. Navigate to Key Results:

    • Go to the Key Results section of your strategy.
    • Select the key result for which you want to record actual progress (e.g., Turnover, Operational Costs).
  2. Create an Actual:

    • Click on the Create Actual button within the key result page.
    • Set the actual value you have achieved. For example, if your baseline is $400,000 and you've now reached $430,000, enter that new value.
    • Select the date on which this actual value was reached.
    • Optionally, add a description explaining how this result was achieved.
  3. View the Actuals on the Dashboard:

    • After saving, go back to the Dashboard.
    • You will see a line chart indicating the progress. The baseline will be updated with the actual result, showing a visual representation of the change over time.
    • The more actuals you add, the more comprehensive the chart becomes.
  4. Monitor Gantt Chart Updates:

    • In the Gantt Chart view, a gray dot will appear on the timeline, showing where the actual result has been updated. This provides a clear visual of how your tasks and rooms are contributing to the overall strategy.
