Instructions on How to Create a Simple Strategy in the CGS System
Log into the CGS System:
- Upon logging in, you'll see a dashboard and a drop-down menu with your company name.
- Select "Strategies" to access the space where you'll create your strategies.
Create a New Strategy:
- Click on "Add Strategy" to start creating a new strategy.
- Name your strategy (e.g., "My Strategy to Grow My Business").
- Optionally, add a description, images, or cover images. For now, you can leave these fields blank.
Create a Stream:
- A stream is where all tasks and work are organized. You must have at least one stream for a strategy.
- Name the stream (e.g., "Main Stream") where the work will be done.
- If relevant, you can create multiple streams (e.g., "Management Stream," "Innovation Stream"), but for simplicity, just use one stream for now.
Create Stages:
- For your strategy, define stages such as:
- Planning
- Implementation
- Scaling
- These stages will represent phases of your strategy's execution.

Create Rooms:
- Rooms are where tasks are grouped. For example, under the Planning stage, you might create a room called "Business Inventory."
- Add details to the room, such as tasks, files, and estimated time for completion.
- Optionally, include videos, instructions, or descriptions for each room.
Create Tasks:
- Click on the room you created to add tasks. For example, under the "Business Inventory" room, you might add tasks like:
- Gathering a list of company assets
- Interviewing employees or customers
- Assign tasks, set deadlines, and add necessary descriptions.

Visualizing the Strategy:
- Use the Kanban view to see your stream with the stages and rooms.
- Switch to the List view to see tasks and their statuses.
- Use the Gantt chart for a timeline view of tasks and stages.
Save and Manage Your Strategy:
- After creating rooms and tasks, you can manage them from the Kanban, List, and Gantt views.
- Expand or collapse lists to view tasks associated with rooms.
- Continue adding or refining rooms and tasks as needed.
